Mythbusting, Rhodesian Ridgeback Style
You may have read or heard that two male dogs cannot be together because they'll fight, or that a large number of dogs cannot be allowed to be together because they would cause chaos. While that may happen under some conditions, our situation is proof that it doesn't have to be that way.
From the time of whelping, our puppies are handled and coddled like children and upon weaning, are socialized with our other dogs. This practice results in well-balanced dogs that are socialized to people and to other dogs. This ensures that any puppy you select from us will not be intimidated by other family members or other dogs. Look at the pictures as you navigate our website. Do you see dogs locked up separately? Of course not. And you never will.
It's all about dedication and proper management…with a side dressing of space, time, perseverance and love. A lot of love!
Our dogs live with us, on our large tract of land, and are free to run through the fields, play with each other and with us, swim, walk and explore together. And, while it's true that "disagreements" occasionally erupt among the dogs, they're allowed to work it out among themselves, which they do…every time. One minute they may snarl, the next minute they're goofballs again!
