Looking for a Rhodesian Ridgebak?

Buying a puppy is a life-long commitment, in time and resources, to the dog. Because of that, we try to select the best pup for each new owner, based on our knowledge of our own dogs and taking into account the dynamics of the potential new family.
Our information gathering enables us to choose the best home for the puppy. We are assured by the potential new owner, and feel confident that the puppy will be completely integrated in its new home. We must be assured that the puppy will live with people who will provide it with the care that it needs to become a healthy dog, good with people and happy for life.
What to expect from a dog breeder? ?
- that breeding dogs are registered and all the puppies are registered when they are born.
- the dogs are kept in safe and sanitary conditions.
- high quality breeding stock and carefully planned matings.
- strict control of the breeding dogs' health, with special regard to pathologies more common in the breed.
- must be willing to share all the information you need; there must be nothing to hide.
- since a quality breeder won't sell a puppy to just anyone, and will show interest towards you and ask you about the conditions under which the puppy will be kept and cared for at its new home.
- dedication to furthering the breed.
Many of these factors result in higher costs for the breeder, but are good indicators of the breeder's commitment. Since pet shops usually do not match this commitment, we will not allowl our puppies to be sold through pet shops.
